Yesterday was the last day of the
Festival Cultural Alphonso Ortiz Tirado 2011 in Alamos, Sonora,
and as I was sitting waiting for a midday act to start
I spied this incredible bicycle truck.
With some scrap metal and bailing wire
an enterprising young man had created this work of art.
(It didn't come from REI.)
And created a business out of it.
Because of clogged and closed off streets,
he was helping a food vendor get their chairs and tables to their site.
In the photo above he is hidden under the chairs on the left.
Next came the table tops with the legs underneath in the bed of the truck.
Earlier I saw him delivering a 25 lb. bag of ice.
When was it that the United States lost it's edge?
