Murals, Mosaics, Etc. In Hillsboro, N.M.

For such a small town Hillsboro has a lot of the decorative arts.

This is the 4th post in a series on this beautiful little town:

Walking past a lily pond is a great way to go through a door.

These tile mosaics...

 at the town library...

The Virgin of Guadalupe is well represented...

...at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She is a common sight throughout the desert southwest
 and most of Mexico.

Who is it?

Last but not least,
it worked hard all it's life and now it delights.

  1. Your little statue of an unknown saint is Saint Fiacre, a seventh century Irish holy man. He was famed for his knowledge of herbs (hence the shovel—he's a gardener).
