Doors We Have Seen

(To see a rewrite of this post with better photos please go to: Doors.)

In our travels we have run across some pretty cool doors. Above and below is a door from Brattleboro, Vermont. This is one of my favorites because it is an eye catching door and very well made. It is in a protected spot which keeps the door in good shape.

Breitenbush Hot Springs in Oregon.

This is not necessarily a show stopper but it is beautiful, well made door.

This door started its life as a screen door with the screen in the upper panel. When an addition caused the previously outside door to become the bathroom door an upper panel was added. The frame was made from leftover lumber from a framing project and the panels from recycled wood. We don't necessarily need to use the best quarter sawn straight grain wood for woodworking.

  1. Fascinating variety of doors. I can't decide which one I like best. Your blog is like taking a course Ches. I will be back and spend some time learning about all of this.
