A Walk Through Kingston, New Mexico

Since the last five posts have been on Kingston, New Mexico
I thought it would be nice to take a tour of the rest of the town.

We had fun being guided through town by residents Ruth and Mark.

These first two photos are taken from the top of Emory Pass
on state road 152 looking east toward Kingston.

The long light line in the center of the photo
 towards the top is Kingston.

This painting of the town hangs

This is one of the few surviving brick buildings.

This adobe caught my attention
because of the stone lintels and door arch.

This gate is a break from the historical character
of the rest of the town.

This old stone building was resurrected
by the addition of a gable end roof.

I couldn't resist these little froggies.

And finally this cast off reverse glass painting
found a new life covering an old window.

We will look at the home it adorns next time.
